K5 Parent Workshop on MAP testing
At CCA, we use MAP testing to track student learning over time. Students are tested in three domains: reading, language, and math. Kindergarten students (K5) are tested for the first time in the middle of the academic year, with the results serving as a baseline for tracking their progress. Parents of kindergarten students recently met to learn more about this process: why we administer the MAP test, how we use the results in the classroom and schoolwide, and how parents can understand and use the results to support their children at home.
