Academics

The Faculty

The CCA faculty is comprised of 39 full-time and 7 part-time staff.  Approximately 65% are US citizens, 35% are from Panama and other nearby countries.

All full-time faculty members hold a BA or BS degree and 14 hold advanced degrees.  All foreign hire teachers are trained in the United States and teach the majority of their time within their area of expertise.

There is one teacher for each elementary grade level (with teacher aides in K4, K5, 1st, and 2nd grades). Secondary faculty consists of trained teachers in English/Literature, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Foreign Language and Bible.  Other trained teachers provide instruction in Physical Education, Art, Music and Technology.

The Admin Team

Our administrative team structure consists of the Director, Business Manager, Seconday and Elementary Principals, Dean of Students, and Administrative Assistant.  Our staff also includes a Registrar, Athletic Director, Registered Nurse, Librarian, IT Coordinator, Spiritual Life Coordinator, Student Counselor, and a part-time College Counselor

Spanish

At CCA, the Spanish department is fully committed to the development and growth of the Spanish language in the life of the students through four levels of teaching:  basic, intermediate, advanced and native. Developing this capability in a second or third language will open doors of opportunity for our students.  Speaking and writing are emphasized during the classes, preparing the students to integrate into the Hispanic world that surrounds them, as well as to function in a multicultural setting.  While learning language, the Word of God is integrated in a practical way in order to cultivate a Biblical world view and Christian character in our students.

Electives

CCA offers a variety of elective classes to add real-world experience to each student's schedule. Classes such as  music, photography, digital art, public speaking, foreign language, technology, physical education, and study skills help to broaden each student's development. Through these classes we hope that each student will have an opportunity to develop practical life skills that will help them be productive citizens and well-rounded individuals and prepared to serve the Lord and others.
